Oops ! Here We Go Again...
Ok fans, I know you've probably had enough. And your patience is probably growing thin, but guess what ? The new album "Flower" from Jody Watley has now been delayed for release sometime in March. The exact date will be announced sometime in mid-February.

According to sources at Atlantic Records, there is no reason to be alarmed, instead this is a good indication that the album will likely do well. The current single "Off The Hook" has been well received so far by fans and the general public, and will be available for sale in stores on February 3 (Tue). It will be a multi-track CD/cassette and will feature a dance remix by Masters at Work and a hip-hop remix featuring the smooth rapper Rakim.

The Jody machinery is just starting to gear up and expect to see more of Ms. Jody. She has already appeared on Keenan and Soul Train. Other appearances include The RuPaul show on Feb.17, the Rosie O'Donnel show on March 31st, and Regis and Kathy Lee soon thereafter. And just confirmed today by our sources, Jody will appear on the American Music Awards, Monday, January 26 at 8pm EST on ABC television.

Bottom line is this, Atlantic Records believes this album to be a major hit, and is putting everything in place to make that happen, even if it means delaying its release.

Flower: A Review
From the urban progressive sounding "Lovin' You So" to the groovy "Off The Hook" to the absolutely gorgeous balladry of "Just One More Time", this album highlights Jody's growth as an artist.

The theme of the album is "relationships", as this happens to be our diva's favorite subject. The album is almost like a story book, first dealing with the happiness of being in a relationship to the eventual breaking-up of a relationship, and then making it's way through the healing process and getting on with life. Which partly explains why the last few songs on the album are more upbeat and dancy. Dance fans of Jody will especially appreciate the track "Baby Tonight", with it's hip-hop/dance rhythm beat.

If you like the sounds of such artists as Celine Dione or Toni Braxton, you will be pleasantly surprised at Jody's strikingly similar vocals on such sure-to-be-hits like "If I'm Not In Love", and "Just One More Time." Clearly two of the best ever vocal performances from Jody.

All in all, the album flows very well, and is sure to be both an R&B and Pop success.
