"Flower" Available via Internet

The news of "Flower" not being released domestically here in the U.S. was a stunning blow to Jody fans from coast to coast. Atlantic Records confirmed that it had dropped the project and could not confirm the status of Jody's contract with its label.

For fans, however, Jody's CD "Flower" will be available via Internet mail order beginning Tuesday, June 30 right here on Larger Than Life. Credit card orders will be accepted via Internet, and for those who prefer to send check or money orders, that option will also be available. Phone orders will also be accepted.

As of now, there are legal issues to be settled between Atlantic Records and Jody Watley, and both sides are not devulging any information. In the meantime, Jody is still performing small shows around the country, and do expect some major surprises.

New Music In The Works

Despite the setback with Atlantic Records, Jody is already planning to record new material-- good news for fans ! However, everything will be placed on hold until the issue involving "Flower" with Atlantic Records is resolved.

Fans Trowing Support Behind Jody

Fans from all over the world are throwing their support behind Jody. Those that live outside the U.S. are especially happy that her album was released internationally. Many fans are especially pleased that she has continued to mature with her music. In fact one fan that we spoke to, who is 19, has been following Jody since he was eight years-old, and still thinks that she's a thrill!

While most fans continue to support Jody's musical evolution, they also believe that she should come back with some "real funky dance material" that will blow all the present divas away. Jody has been trying to shed her dance doll image, yet many believe her album should be more balanced, giving us a bit of the old Jody and mixing it with the new sophisticated Jody. Many believe this will surely make her blow up in popularity beyond her days of "Real Love" and her debut album.
