But at this point some fans are not going to hold their breath. So why all the delays? Is this a sign of bad things ? Not neccesarily, according to an Atlantic Records insider. There are perhaps many factors behind this delay, including trying to coincide the release with another major event, or trying to avoid releasing at the same time another major artist is releasing. Or it could be that the material isn't ready. Whatever the reasons, one thing is for certain, the release of the new album is emminent and the final product will surely be worth the wait. Major Publicity Stunt Set for Jody The release of Jody Watley's upcoming album will be unlike her previous albums. This release will be quite a media event. According to sources at Big Beat Records, this new album will be "a re-entrance" for Jody into the pop scene, and records execs are going all out to make it a huge success. In terms of artist priority, Jody is at the top of the list with her new label. And everyone at Big Beat and Atlantic Records, including top executives "are really excited and getting involved" with Jody's new project. The filming for the first video will begin in a few weeks in L.A., and photo shoots for promotion have been completed. According to our Big Beat insider, Jody looks "sleek...and gorgeous."
