Jody is Tops at Atlantic Records
The music world is a buzz with news of Jody Watley's new album "Flower" due out February 17, and Atlantic Records is getting its promotional machine geared up for Jody's biggest release ever.

Jody's new sound is fresh, innovative, and will surely create waves, as she plans to make a major re-entrance on to the R&B/Pop music scene.

Apparently Atlantic is sparring no expense with the Grammy award winner, as she is currently at the top of the label's priority list. As one insider puts it "All eyes are now on Jody."

The first single will feature the production of Malik Pendleton, Derek Angeleti, and Masters at Work. Jody is serving as the Executive Producer of her new album and plans to do a promotional tour in major U.S. cities. No official word yet on whether she will tour internationally.

A New Sound and a Hot New Look: Preliminary Review
Jody Watley's upcoming album "Flower" is "her most mature album to date." The lead-off single "Off The Hook" has a catchy urban sound, sprinkled over by a funky guitar in the background. One word describes the song: Sexy !

The dance remix by Masters at Work has an irresistable house beat, and will definately be a club smash.

Other songs off the album include "Flower" (also the album title), "Sixteen", a song dealing with teenage pregnancy and the gorgeous ballad "If I'm Not in Love", in which Jody gives Whitney Houston a run for her money. It features Jody's best vocals ever! The ballad single is also slated for release and should fare extremely well on both the R&B and pop charts.

Lead-Off Video Complete and Ready for MTV
The video to "Off The Hook" has been completed and only the finishing touches are being added. It was shot in color in Los Angeles and is set in a "futuristic environment."

VH1, MTV and BET will soon get copies to be added to their daily rotation of videos. Billie Woodruf is the director of Jody's sultry new video. He is also known for his direction of Toni Braxton's "You're Making Me High", "Unbreak My Heart", Usher's "You Make Me Wanna", as well as Salt-n-Pepa, Celine Dione and Chico DeBarge.
